An Extended Role Based Access Control Method for XML Documents
نویسندگان
چکیده
As XML has been increasingly important as the Data-change format of Internet and Intranet, Access-Control-On-XML-Properties rises as a new issue. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is an access control method that has been widely used in Internet, Operation System and Relation Data Base these 10 years. Though RBAC is already relatively mature in the above fields, new problems occur when it is used in XML properties. This paper proposes an integrated model to resolve these problems, after the fully analysis on the features of XML and RBAC. Keyword: XML, RBAC

Succinct Access Control Policies for Published XML Datasets
We consider the setting of secure publishing of XML documents, in which read-only access control policies (ACPs) over static XML datasets are enforced using cryptographic keys. The role-based access control (RBAC) model provides a flexible method for specifying such policies. Extending the RBAC model to include role parameterization addresses the problem of role proliferation which can occur in...
متن کاملAccess control framework for XML document collections
It is often the case that XML documents contain information of different sensitivity degrees that must be selectively shared by user communities. This paper presents the XXACF (eXtensible Role-Based XML Access Control Framework) framework for controlling access to XML documents in different environments. The proposed access control model of XXACF is described. The framework represents an improv...

The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) is a widely adopted format for documents containing structured information. Structured information contains both the content (words, images etc.) and the ‘markup’ which indicates the role of the content, e.g. ‘section’ or ‘price’. XML is the foundation for a huge variety of existing and emerging applications, including user applications like vector imaging f...
متن کاملGenerating XACML Enforcement Policies for Role-Based Access Control of XML Documents
Ensuring the security of electronic data has morphed into one of the most important requirements in domains such as health care, where the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) has been leveraged via standards such as the Health Level 7’s Clinical Document Architecture and the Continuity of Care Record. These standards dictate a need for approaches to secure XML schemas and documents. In this paper,...
متن کاملA Formal Language for XML Authorisations Based on Answer Set Programming and Temporal Interval Logic Constraints
The Extensible Markup Language is susceptible to security breaches because it does not incorporate methods to protect the information it encodes. This work focuses on the development of a formal language that can provide role-based access control to information stored in XML formatted documents. This language has the capacity to reason whether access to an XML document should be allowed. The la...
